Barbara K. Carlin, M.S.,
BCIA-EEG-Fellow is certified in Pain and Stress
Management. She is also a certified Medical Psychotherapist and Neurotherapist. In addition, she has completed extensive training in
Biofeedback and Neurofeedback. She did her training at the
University of Florida and Florida State University where she earned a Master's
degree in Rehabilitative Counseling. She also attended Bowman Grey School
of Medicine in North Carolina where she was trained in EEG.
She belongs to a variety of professional associations including the
Association for Applied Psychophysiology and Biofeedback, the American Board of
Medical Psychotherapists, the Biofeedback Society of Florida and the American
Academy of Pain Management. She has attended nationally recognized
workshops with Joel Lubar, PhD., Joan Borysenko, PhD, Jeanne Achterbeg,
PhD, Emmitt Miller, M.D., and Larry LeShan, PhD.
She has been
practicing since 1988, working closely with neurologists, pediatricians,
psychiatrists, dentists, and other health care professionals. Her personal
commitment to every patient is to make them comfortable, to listen carefully to
their concerns and to provide care based on sound principles of Biofeedback.
Mrs. Carlin is dedicated to providing her patients
with the most comprehensive and up-to-date pain and stress management programs,
including Biofeedback and Neurofeedback, in a warm and friendly
environment. She operates on the principle that her patient is the most
important person present. The care of the patient is her
primary concern.
